After a deadly e coli outbreak in 2000, Ontario’s government created the Walkerton Clean Water Centre. Since opening in 2009, the facility has been creating customized water treatment plans for communities throughout the province, and has become a destination for public officials, scientists, and water infrastructure specialists from around the world.
