In Lake Michigan’s Good Harbor Bay, near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, invasive quagga mussels have taken over an important spawning reef for Great Lakes fish. The invaders clog the reef and threaten the fishery. Now, scientists and researchers from the Invasive Mussel Collaborative are experimenting with ways to protect the reef.
