The Indiana Sand Dunes are a fractured group of more the 15,000 acres of forests, wetlands, beaches and bogs that stretch across northern Indiana. The dunes are home to over 1,000 types of native plants, but over the decades the area has been threatened by heavy industry, and the construction of housing and rail lines.
